Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations
Sunshine Furniture wants customers to be confident when purchasing from us. This policy explains our approach to cancellations, change-of-mind returns, exchanges and refunds.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Order Cancellations
Orders placed online or in store may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase by contacting Sunshine Furniture, provided the goods have not already been ordered from our supplier, produced, prepared or dispatched.
After this time, cancellation requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may not be possible where goods have already been ordered, manufactured, prepared or dispatched.
Custom-made, special-order or specially configured products generally cannot be cancelled once production or ordering has commenced. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law where goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to meet a consumer guarantee.
Change-of-Mind Returns & Exchanges
Sunshine Furniture is not required to provide a refund or exchange where a customer simply changes their mind.
Where we agree to accept a change-of-mind return or exchange, the goods must be returned in their original condition and, where applicable, original packaging.
The customer is responsible for transport costs associated with an approved change-of-mind return or exchange. An administration or restocking fee may also apply and will be advised before the return is accepted.
Certain large, bulky, custom-made or special-order products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns due to their size, handling, packaging or customised nature.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
If an item is faulty, damaged, significantly different from its description or does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee, please contact Sunshine Furniture as soon as reasonably possible.
Depending on the circumstances and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy.
Where Sunshine Furniture is responsible for providing a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law, we will not impose a restocking or administration fee that would improperly limit those rights.
Proof of Purchase
We may request reasonable proof of purchase when processing a return, exchange, warranty claim or refund. This may include an order confirmation, tax invoice, receipt or other evidence of purchase.
Custom & Special-Order Products
Custom-made and special-order products may include products manufactured or ordered specifically to your requirements, including particular sizes, colours, configurations or finishes.
Estimated production and delivery timeframes are provided in good faith and may vary. We will keep you informed where we become aware of significant delays.
Restrictions applying to change-of-mind cancellations or returns of custom and special-order products do not affect any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Refunds
Approved refunds will generally be processed using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
For approved change-of-mind returns, applicable transport or other agreed charges may be deducted from the refund.
These deductions do not apply where doing so would be inconsistent with your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Identity & Payment Verification
For some purchases or transactions, Sunshine Furniture may request reasonable identification or payment verification to help protect customers and the business against fraudulent transactions and unauthorised payment activity.
